Step into the heart of ancient civilization on this unforgettable Egypt tour for women. Over 10 awe-inspiring days, you’ll explore some of the world’s most legendary landmarks, from the Great Pyramids of Giza to the temples of Abu Simbel, while forming lasting friendships with a small group of like-minded women travellers.

Our journey begins in Cairo, where you’ll ride a camel in the shadow of the pyramids, stand face to face with the mysterious Sphinx, and uncover the treasures of the Grand Egyptian Museum, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamen. Stroll through the medieval lanes of Khan El Khalili Bazaar, visit ancient churches and mosques, and enjoy time to shop, relax, and soak in the vibrant energy of Egypt’s capital.

From Cairo, we fly south to Luxor and step aboard the elegant Sonesta Moon Goddess for a luxurious four-night Nile River cruise. With your own private balcony, you’ll watch timeless river life drift by as we sail between incredible temples, including Karnak, Luxor, Kom Ombo, and the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut. We’ll wander through the Valley of the Kings and Queens, glide through Aswan on a peaceful felucca ride, and cap it all off with a flight to Abu Simbel, home to the colossal rock-cut temples of Ramesses II.

Throughout this tour, you’ll be accompanied by an expert English-speaking Egyptologist who brings Egypt’s incredible stories to life, along with a dedicated Womens Travel Network host. You’ll travel with a small group of no more than 16 women, sharing laughter, insight, great meals, poolside cocktails, and unforgettable moments together

Moderate
This trip is suitable for anyone in good health. You must be comfortable walking on uneven terrain and irregular paving and climbing stairs. You should be comfortable walking for about 90 minutes at a stretch. We tend to walk 10,000 steps a day or more during our tours.

 

We are staying in comfortable and well-located hotels and aboard a luxury Nile cruise. In Cairo, we’ll enjoy the Nile-side elegance of the Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah, featuring stylish rooms with views of the river. While on the Nile, we’ll travel aboard the Sonesta Moon Goddess, a premium river cruiser offering air-conditioned cabins with private balconies, modern décor, and excellent amenities.

While on tour 
While in Cairo, we will be travelling in a comfortable, private, air- conditioned vehicle driven by a professional driver.

Joining Instructions
The tour commences with a group transfer from Cairo International Airport (CAI) to the hotel (based on group flight schedule). The tour concludes with a group transfer from Cairo International Airport (CAI) (based on group flight schedule). Please contact us to verify the timing of this transfer prior to making any flight arrangements. Note: When you book a pre- or post-trip night or extension with Worldwide Quest, your airport transfer will be included. If you are making your own pre- or post-trip arrangements, these transfers can be provided at an additional cost.

International Flights
Roundtrip international flights are not included in the cost of your tour and must be arranged separately. Our team is happy to assist you in booking your flights; this way we can do our best to keep the group together. If you’d prefer to book your own flights, please check with us first to ensure the trip has been confirmed before booking and to verify the timing of these group transfers to ensure your flight schedule fits our program. Note: When you book a pre- or post-trip night or extension with Worldwide Quest, your airport transfer will be included. If you are making your own pre- or post-trip arrangements, these transfers can be provided at an additional cost.

We expect clear sunny skies with average daytime temperatures between 25°C and 30°C and overnight lows of about 20°C.

You will require a passport for your trip to Egypt. Please make sure it is valid for six months after the date of your return home. Canada and US passport holders require a tourist visa to visit Egypt (US$25 as of April 2025). We will provide full details of visa procedures at 90 days prior to departure.

We recommend you see your travel doctor to prepare for this trip.

If our Tour Ready criteria are not met, your tour will not operate and we will transfer your payments to your choice of tour within 2 years of your initial travel date.

Our tours will proceed when all the following Four-point Tour Ready criteria are met:

  • The Canadian government does not have an ‘avoid all travel’ to the country or region within a country for any part of the tour.
  • No region of the tour has any significant related restrictions.
  • There is reliable airline access for arrival and departure.
  • Worldwide Quest and our in-country partners are confident that your trip can operate safely and enjoyably.

 

Payment Details:
A non-refundable deposit of US$750 per person is required to reserve a space on this tour. A second non-refundable deposit of US$2000 is required six months prior to departure. Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure.
