Turkey Tour for Women

From Ottoman Empires to Magical Landscapes We’re Unveiling Turkey’s Cultural Treasures

Embark on our first-ever tour of Turkey, designed exclusively for women and hosted by Melissa Ross, accompanied by our founder, Debbie Ross, who is thrilled to be experiencing one of her long-held bucket-list destinations. This special journey warmly welcomes mothers and daughters, while also inviting women of all connections, including solo travellers, to share in an unforgettable adventure.

Turkey is a land where East meets West, offering a captivating blend of ancient history, rich culture, and breathtaking scenery. Our journey begins in Istanbul, a city shaped by centuries of Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman influence. Here, you will marvel at architectural masterpieces such as the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, explore grand palaces and sacred monuments, wander vibrant bazaars, and cruise the Bosphorus Strait, drifting between Europe and Asia as the city unfolds from the water.

From Istanbul, we fly to the extraordinary landscapes of Cappadocia, where nature and history intertwine in remarkable ways. Discover surreal fairy chimneys, explore underground cities carved deep into the earth, and wander valleys dotted with ancient rock-cut churches and frescoes. Walk through the spectacular Ihlara Gorge, following a river that has sustained life for centuries, and experience the spiritual beauty of a Whirling Dervish ceremony set within a historic Seljuk caravanserai. For those who wish, an optional hot air balloon flight offers a breathtaking perspective over this otherworldly terrain at sunrise.

Our journey continues to Turkey’s Aegean coast, where we settle into the seaside town of Kuşadası. Enjoy time on the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea with a leisurely coastal cruise, passing rugged cliffs, hidden coves, and tranquil bays. From here, we explore some of the greatest archaeological sites of the ancient world, including the beautifully sited city of Priene, the monumental theatre of Miletus, and the sacred ruins of Didyma.

A true highlight of the journey is a full day exploring Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world. Walk along marble streets lined with temples and public buildings, stand before the iconic Library of Celsus, and imagine life at the height of the Roman Empire. The experience offers a powerful connection to the layers of history that define this remarkable region.

Throughout the tour, you will savour Turkey’s celebrated cuisine, enjoy thoughtfully paced days balanced with moments to relax, and connect deeply with local traditions and the women travelling alongside you. From ancient ruins and dramatic landscapes to coastal beauty and cultural immersion, each day reveals a new facet of Turkey’s enduring allure.

Join Melissa, Debbie, and the Womens Travel Network for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure through Turkey, shared in the company of adventurous women travellers, whether you are a mother, daughter, or solo explorer.
